Napoleon Hill 'Think and Grow Rich'
by Charles
(Milton Keynes, United Kingdom)
When Napoleon Hill was a young journalist, he interviewed the steel magnate Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie was impressed by Hill and set him a challenge - to study success and successful people and write down the results in the form of a study guide. There was no prospect of payment for his endeavours, but Carnegie planted a seed in Napoleon Hill's mind. 'Think and Grow Rich' was the result. It went on to become a major international best-seller, and is still regarded as one of the greatest self-help books.
I was introduced to this book by a friend of mine. I was definitely in need of some help. I was the shyest, most awkward young man you could ever meet. He told me 'You are in life where you have chosen to be'. How dare he speak to me like that! But I went away and started reading the book, and slowly the light dawned on me - this was a manual for success, and by following it and studying it I could become whatever I wanted to be.
I have been reading the book now for over thirty years, and without boasting I must say that it works. For the first two years I read a chapter every night before going to bed, and have continued studying it ever since. If you want one book to be your guide on the road to success, this is the one I would choose. It is now out of copyright, so anybody with a computer can download the entire book free of charge. The time spent reading it and studying it will change your life.
