So how do you start your own website? If you had told me a couple of years ago that I'd have a highly successful web-site and be building more, I would probably have laughed at you. After all what did I know about building web-sites?

Sure I knew some computer programs, mainly ones for keeping accounts, and other programs like word and excel... but build a whole web-site? The idea was mind blowing, yet a lady who I met at meditation had built her own web-site. Although it was small with only a few pages about her business, I started to think that this was something I wanted very much to do too, and if she could do it so could I.

If you are anything like me you may know about the desire to start your own web-site. I was already working from home with my part time healing, so it fitted right in with what I knew I wanted to do. I loved the idea of being able to build a web-site... working from home, my own boss and being able to help other people. Its a great idea if you'd like to be a stay at home mum with your kids, or if you are a retiree and looking for extra income.

So we watched the videos on how SBI works. If you'd like to know more, take a look at the first one we watched below. Probably its not exactly the same any more, as they have updated them since 2009. But it explains much better than I can, how easy the SBI system is to do, and they answer any questions too. So easy!

The great thing about SBI is that it not only teaches you to build a web-site, but it also helps you to decide exactly what your site will be about. For me that wasn't so important when I was building my crystals site, but for my second site it has been a lot of help.

Their system helps you to understand how to work out what you will be writing about and how to get those pages as high as possible on the search engines, (like Google). For me, when I started, I knew what I was going to be writing about, as I had so much information about crystals in my head that I wanted to get out there... so I could start to make a difference to other peoples lives.

The videos that explain the SBI system are so easy to understand so I was more and more convinced... but still I had to wait patiently for him to make up his mind! As I learned more about how SBI worked I was quite impressed with their system, and the fact that you could ask as many questions as you liked, which of course my husband did.

Well eventually my husband decided that we would do it, or might I say that I could do it, although he was interested too. As I said to him, "Maybe you might want to start your own website one day too".

We both watched the videos that explained the system. I loved every part of how it all worked. The step by step instructions on video made it easy to get started, and I couldn't wait to begin to write for my new site.

But I understood that there is an easy to do system, and a very interesting and well thought out process. So I learned how you build a web-site that will be successful... not just a web-site that's there, and that's how my site got started!

In the real estate business they say: "You don't have to be good, you just have to be there!" and many people think the same about web-sites. If you want to start your own website, while action is important, just being there won't cut it, as many sites are never found on the net.
