Where Does It Come From

The name of this stone is derived from where it was first found, in the Shattuck mine in Arizona. It has since been found in a number of locations... including other places in the USA, Britain, Greece, Austria, Germany, Norway, the Congo, Namibia and South Africa. Most pieces of Shattukite come in a mottled mixture of colors... as you can see from the photos.

There is predominance of blue shades... from light blue, to medium blue, to dark indigo blue, as well as turquoise, green, red, brown and cream. There are two spellings of the name... and its name may also be spelled Shattukite... either spelling may be used. It is often found in combination with a variety of other minerals.

How To Use It

If you have been working on developing your psychic communication abilities... this is a highly desirable stone to use. Shattukite will help you to learn to be psychic... and may be used in meditation to strengthen your psychic gifts.

The darker indigo blue Shattuckite stones are excellent to use for psychic meditation as they work strongly within the third eye chakra... and may stimulate your visionary abilities.

The lighter blue stones work well within the throat chakra.... and the green stones within the heart chakra. Many stones have a mixture of colors... and these are the stones that are the more useful ones to acquire if possible.
