Stand Up For Myself?

I often have dreams where I'm physically intimidated and bullied by big, tough men, and am unable to defend myself or stand up for myself. I do recognise this dynamic from my waking life, and steer well clear of people like this because of my fear.

I already wear root chakra crystals for psychic protection, and they have really helped me out; but now I need something to help me feel able to stand up for myself in the "real" world.

Which chakra do you think is indicated here, and which crystals would be helpful? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Willpower

I believe you would need something for your navel or (solar plexus) chakra. That is associated with yellow/golden colors. It's the spiritual warrior chakra, the center of energy, of willpower, of personal power, choice, action and vitality. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for that input. I had kind of figured it was solar plexus, but needed to hear it, unprompted, from someone else. Have ordered Citrine, but as interim measure taped a piece of Blue Kyanite and some quartz over solar plexus last night. I dreamt of a bully again, but this time I fought back and won - so it looks like we're on the right track!

Hello Dear ~

For confidence in life, grounding, and protection, I strongly suggest wearing and carrying Labradorite, Smoky Quartz, and Obsidian. To calm yourself, while still feeling in control, the Smoky Quartz is a great, earthy-hued stone.

To soothe and protect your heart chakra, I also see Emerald in the mix, or shiny Green Calcite.

As you probably know, precious stones do not have to be polished, faceted, expensive specimens, in order to be effective. Raw is best, if you can find them. Amazon is another good resource.

When you feel more confident, you can add Rubies. Try Trader Lou's for affordable Ruby jewelry.

Yes, you're on the right track. Even my neighborhood geologist (who's shy of all new age stuff, even though he sells "rocks and lab equipment") says that.

(I love the character. A hardened scientist, he's not above giving away a citrine pebble to a small boy who was suffering bullies at school.)

Ruby "establishes" you. I wear it dealing with lawyers. (And then I end up pitying them afterwards. If there's a next meeting, I wear tanzanite to remind myself to empathize a bit more).
