The first place is in Chihuahua in Mexico, and the second is in Brazos County in Texas in the United States. 

Melikaria is a concretion stone comprised of a yellowish brown sandstone that is high in silica. They have a fairly unique structure and an unusual method of being created.

They are said to have been formed in calcite deposits that filled with a sandstone silica based substance.

Later the calcite dissolved leaving these stones with their unique honeycomb shape.

They are high in silica so have a number of attributes in common with quartz crystals. Some sources list them as a variety of Septarian stone.
