Where Is It From? Neptunite Meaning

This stone was named back in 1893 when it was found in West Greenland and was named after Neptune who was the ancient Roman god of the sea.

It has since been found in a number of other locations, including in the United States, Russia, Namibia, Canada and other places in Greenland.

It is a silicate mineral that may be found in combination with a range of other minerals depending on where it comes from.

In California in the United States it is commonly found combined with white Natrolite, and is also found with or alongside blue Benitoite stone.

Its crystal structure is usually prismatic or tabular, and most pieces are quite small.

This is an unusual stone that often looks like its black in color, but depending on how the light reflects within the stone may be a reddish-black or yellowish in appearance.
