Where Is It Found? Mineral Make-Up

This stone has been found in a large number of places and are known to be found in diamond rich areas including in the same area as Kimberlite stone in South Africa. 

The beautiful brownish green gem quality Enstatite stone that has been used to make gemstone jewelry is found in Germany and in Norway.

Other colors of this stone come from Scotland, Switzerland, Greenland, Russia, Canada, India, Pakistan, Japan, Myanmar, Burma, Madagaskar and South Africa as well as quite a few places in the United States.

Its structure varies. While it may sometimes occur as prismatic crystals as well as in the massive form, it may also be fibrous, which you can see in the above specimen. 

Both Hypersthene and Bronzite are closely related to this mineral. Some sources say that it is the same stone as Hypersthene, but they are not the same as they have a different mineral make-up. 

Enstatite is a magnesium rich stone while Hypersthene is a similar stone that is iron-rich.

Enstatite Meaning and Colors

The meaning of the name Enstatite comes from a Greek word 'enstates' which means an opponent, but it is said to relate to its resistance to fire.

It is sometimes called 'rare' but this depends on the color you are looking for as the various colors come from different areas. 

There is a lovely greenish yellow colored stone known as Chrome Enstatite that is made into semi-precious gemstone jewelry.

This stone is found in a number of colors, including the golden yellow shade seen in the image labeled Golden Enstatite above.

In addition it may be colorless, green, nearly black, grey or brown, which you can see in various pieces pictured on this page.

Best Crystals To Use With Enstatite

What are the best crystals to use with Enstatite? There are a number of crystals and stones below that combine well with them. Enstatite are known to be particularly helpful when you need to make important decisions in your daily life.

When you are dealing with difficult life events that make it hard for you to get clarity, you might find that it is helpful to combine these stones with other crystals for clear thinking.

Yellow Tourmaline, Albite, Turquoise and any color of Fluorite are all helpful crystals that can help to clarify how you are thinking.

When you have had to deal with circumstances that have made you feel angry, particularly if what has happened was related to someone who you should have been able to trust, it can be challenging to deal with.
